Timberland Ad Archive

The Timberland Company is one of the largest global lifestyle brands in the world. They manufacture and sell quality outdoor lifestyle footwear, garments and accessories.

Timberland has run national and global advertising campaigns since 1978. Years of advertising was being archived in print format and stored in such a way that it was hard to dig through volumes of magazines to reference past campaigns. Timberland came to us with a challenge: develop an interactive flash timeline for their ad campaign history.

Timberland partnered with us to create a digital archive of past campaigns which would allow any user to view past work quickly and easily. The digital archive also needed to be dynamic so that new campaigns could be added in the future.

We created multiple navigation systems to allow users to navigate the digital archive with ease. Drop down lists, visual scrolling timelines, with real physics and simple link structures were used to make the piece both fun and entertaining. We also utilized XML to allow for easy image and copy updates.

We provided an engaging interactive design that allows for any user within the Timberland organization to find past ad campaigns quickly and easily.
